I found these at The Dollar Tree.
They'll be so much fun to use during math!
I found these (at a 99 cent store)...
...to turn into these:
I'm pretty sure I pinned this idea at some point. The only problem is that the containers are so small that the dice don't jumble up that much. You have to shake it REALLY hard to get them to change numbers well. I might try and exchange the containers for a little bigger size.
How do you use dice in your classroom?
I give each partnership/group a 20 cent sheet of felt. It makes the dice sound much quieter. If all of their dice rolls stay on the felt sheet, they get a prize. That eliminates the dice rolling acoss the room!
ReplyDeleteI plan on using the container for the dice idea next year too. I think that will help alleviate some noise! :)

Learning Is Something to Treasure
That's a great idea Janis. And Lisa, I know I replied in an email, but just for others to know: the containers are noisy! They'll keep the dice in one place though ;0)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the mini containers for dice. I MUST make these this summer!

To The Square Inch
Kate, just make sure the containers aren't too small (which mine are). Otherwise, the dice don't flip around easily.
