Five for Friday

It cannot really be Friday already. Seriously. Where did summer go? Last Friday before our teacher in-services start on Tuesday...waaah! 

I guess the best part of it being Friday is that it's time to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for another Five for Friday...woot, woot!

I know, I know...I've already mentioned at least fifty times that I got my wisdom teeth pulled on Tuesday. I swear, last time...well, maybe. It was a really big deal for me though. I was TERRIFIED to have it done and have been putting it off for at least a decade! But in all seriousness....

...no really...I don't have time for this!  

Finally got these darling babies in the mail. 

They're beautiful and I love them. The little blue one has adorable little cups in the middle to store your goodies. They're both from Copernicus Educational Products. 

I wrote out cards to my new students. I included a folded up a page from an activity book, 2 strips of stickers and this adorable card from Sarah's First Grade Snippets. Thanks Sarah for the freebie!!

Hung up these cutie patooties today. Another fabulous purchase from the lovely Cara Carroll.

New Spelling Word Sorts

Oh my gosh you guys, I am not a fan of wisdom teeth removal. I mean who is really, that would just be nuts. But seriously, I am so scared of a clot coming out, or getting an infection, or something going wrong. 

So far I'm still numb in my lip and chin which is scary. I have incredibly long roots, so they were very close to my nerves. Just what I need...to be a tingly, numb lip and chin person forever...Lord help me. Hopefully it will wear off soon, but the surgeon said it can take a while. I'm getting antsy already!

Since my husband has restricted me to being home and in bed resting (I tried to assure him that my legs aren't broken!) I've been working like a maniac on school stuff...one of which is working on some new spelling word sorts. I whipped up 4 new ones in a day. Not bad if I don't say so myself. Hopefully there are no typos...I was slightly medicated after all ;)

Primary Word Wall Headers

On Friday I shared a quick peek at some word wall headers that I made for my new 1st grade classroom. I am so happy with how they turned out. I got them all cut and laminated today. Happy girl here!

I also mentioned that...and I quote..., "I'll get them on TpT sometime next week...maybe..."

It's Monday (late at night, but still Monday!!) and they're up!!

That has to be classified as a miracle.

Been in my class every.stinkin.day this week! Here's a sneak peek at some of the colors I'm using. There's some purple thrown in too!

My honey and I will celebrate our 12th anniversary in a few weeks and so I sent him this screenshot:

A girl can dream!!

Did all the school supply shopping for my little 3rd and 1st graders. I sent this pic to my mom so they could see (they were visiting Grandma this week!) and all I got was "eh, they're okay." I see a return trip in my future.

Leaving in about 20 minutes to go get my two little loveys from my mom's house. Can't wait to smooch their faces!
